Ah, L-O-V-E. It's hard to write good songs about it, as Michael Stipe says. There's so much moon-in-june crap around, so many witless boybands and such a lot of funky-house style "ooh yeah, baby", which is not the kind of L-O-V-E that impresses the truly sassy princess.

Nope, L-O-V-E needs a different approach, as Tom Mangan shows with these tracks. First up is "L-O-V-E", where those letters and a few good synths make a hand-on-heart italo number we expect lead a good few erection sections NYE for the DJs on Playtime's promo list.

And then there's track two, "Belstab", for when the courtship is done - a big, mean grunter for afterward when you lie back on the couch watching footy, burp loudly and whack your partner on the arse with the racing post until they agree to go get you another beer.

Not your kind of romance? Don't worry, there's still Mike Monday's remix - more exuberant than Selma Hayek in a dodgy romcom!
